6 Days...

I'm going to miss:
Swim lessons with Koa and Nani. They're so much fun and I loved teaching them this summer. I'm really impressed with how good their strokes look and how fast they've gotten! We had our last lesson today. We played some games and ate cupcakes. It was fun, but I was sad to leave them. Don't worry though...I already plan to teach them again next summer. :)

I'm [kinda] excited for:
School to start. Only kinda excited because I'm more ready to get my last year over with! I'm going to have a busy fall schedule so I can have an easy spring. I'll be in class Monday through Friday...ew. (But that also means I'll get more snowboarding in when spring rolls around since I'll only have to take 2 classes!) I'm taking Statistics, non-major Design, Intermediate Reporting and Visual Editing. Should be fun yea?

7 Days...

I'm going to miss:
Being tan! I can get tan for those of you who have only seen my paleness...it takes a little while but I get dark. I'll just be sad to see it go.

I'm excited for:
Snowboarding! I don't care how pale I am as long as I can get a goggle tan and play in some snow!

Utah vs. Notre Dame

It's happening! Nov. 13, 2010! The Utes versus the Irish! It will be the first meeting between the two schools! And even better...we won't have to trample and embarrass the Aggies in 2010 or 2011!

I'm excited to:
See all of my Utah friends!!!! Breanne, Mallory and I already have lunch date plans and plenty of other trouble to get into. So excited for football season with all my MUSS friends! Kristen...and Vi and Lindsey hopefully?? And Adam and everyone else I can't remember. And I'm excited to see Amy and Debwix and Grayson and Madam and Aspen and Beth. 9 Days...

I'm into single digit days now... :(

I'm going to miss...
The beach and ocean. We don't have those in Utah obviously. I love laying on the sand and listening to the waves. I love jumping into the water to cool off and tasting the salt after laying in the sun for awhile. I love how much it relaxes me. The beach is one of my most favorite places to be EVER!

I'm excited for:
My own room once again! It's a little rough having to sleep on a couch for 2+ months. I mean this couch is way comfy and I have sheets and stuff. It just isn't always fun to wait for everyone to clear out and go to bed or to have to ask if you can go to sleep now. I also miss just having my own little space to be in and not be bothered. Don't get me wrong though: I'm not complaining about having a couch to sleep on in Hawaii, I'm just merely stating the fact that it will be nice to have a bed and a room to sleep in...even though it won't be in Hawaii sadly.

Time Management

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT (AFTER YOU SURF)...

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jarwas full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything els e. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are theimportantthings--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions--and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else--the small stuff. 'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

'Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first--the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

10 Days...

I'm going to miss:
The Weather. (You may have thought swinging in trees but I tricked you.) I love being able to wear a t-shirt or tank, shorts or skirt and slippers (aka flip flops) everyday in the 84 degree weather. I love the ocean breeze and the clouds that usually cap the mountains. I love the sun and even the light to heavy rains we have on occasion. Perfection...ahhhhhh.

I'm excited for:
Football of course! And football season weather...warm days, cool nights, changing leaves, and snow later in the season. The MUSS and singing Utah Man. Crazy Lady and yelling until I can't talk. Seeing everyone at the games. Road trips and the MUSS Bus. Can't wait! Go Utes!
